What is the difference between a Deal Check, AgriTrust Membership and a Protected Deal?
A standalone Deal Check verifies a particular proposed transaction and machine. Membership verifies the person or business and unlocks the gated community, marketplace, listings and member features. A Protected Deal includes the full Deal Check, requires both parties to be members, and protects the transaction funds.
Can I buy a Deal Check without joining AgriTrust?
Yes. A standalone Deal Check can be purchased as a one-off service without Membership. It does not include marketplace, community, listing or member access.
Can a seller verify their identity without becoming a member?
Yes. A seller or other counterparty can complete a one-time verification session for a specific Deal Check or Protected Deal. Completing a one-time verification session does not make that person an AgriTrust Member or grant access to the community, marketplace or listings.
Do I need Membership for a Protected Deal?
Yes. Active AgriTrust Membership is required for both the buyer and the seller in a Protected Deal. The required Membership can be paid by the member, the buyer, the seller, a dealer, a partner or an AgriTrust pilot promotion, and is shown before the deal is funded.
Does a Deal Check protect my money?
No. A Deal Check verifies the information and records available to AgriTrust, but it does not protect or recover the purchase funds. Protected payment requires an AgriTrust Protected Deal.
Is a Deal Check included with protected payment?
Yes. The full Deal Check is included within the AgriTrust Protection Fee.
Who pays the Protection Fee?
The buyer pays by default. A seller, dealer or partner can choose to cover some or all of the fee.
What happens if I already paid for a Deal Check?
Where the same transaction is upgraded within the configured eligibility period, the eligible Deal Check payment is credited against the Protection Fee.
Does AgriTrust inspect the physical condition of the machine?
Not as part of the standard Deal Check or Verified Listing. A physical inspection may be offered as a separately priced optional service.
Does AgriTrust verify source of funds on every transaction?
No. Buyer identity verification is required for a Protected Deal. Additional source-of-funds evidence may be requested depending on the transaction value, risk indicators or payment-provider requirements. It is not required from every buyer.
Are there any hidden charges?
No. All mandatory AgriTrust fees are shown before paid verification or protected payment begins. Optional services are never preselected.
Are individual prices shown including VAT?
Yes. Individual prices are shown including VAT. Trade and auction-house prices are shown excluding VAT.
What happens if a verification cannot be completed?
The result will show what could and could not be confirmed. Refund eligibility depends on whether paid third-party checks or manual verification work have already begun.
